Release the hold procrastinaton has on me as an illusion of control.
Embrace my shadow.
Write a fiction piece
Not retreat from my ex-wife in those moments when I need to step up.
Surrender in every moment or at least by 5 pm.
Write another fiction piece
Engage others when it arises-not some other time(see ex-wife)
Eat brussel sprouts
Listen

Help

made me smile dear Ron. I especially loved number 5 ( surrender in every moment or at leat by 5 p.m)
number 3 and 7 (write fiction piece) are on my list too. and number 8 (engage with others when it arises), probably the most difficult one for me.. I'm staying with my mother right now in Ireland and have lots of opportunity to, um, procrastinate on this one ;-/
p.s. brussel sprouts are best cut in half or quarters and stir fried at high heat.. add some lemon and rosemary and salt or some shoyu ( or soya) sauce.

Thanks for sharing the common ground Sandra. And thank you for extending your hand to walk me through the fire of brussel sprouts. This recipe is an elixir. Just these two simple sentences have transformed my idea of what brussel sprouts can be. And that um in mid sentence strikes me as one of those spring snakes curled up in a box just waiting to be opened… As Star Treks's Picard would say with a point of his hand…. Ron
I'll take better note of my 'ums' from now on dear Ron!
She ( the snake ) nearly uncurled today, and pressed her head against the door of the box, but sadly decided it was ..um.. safer in the dark.
Lets see what happens next time.
p.s.
If the halved or quartered brussel sprouts are still inedible, try shredding them fairly finely - and then add to the stir-fry :-)
I am laughing, kind of hard actually. Sandra, take a look at the juxtapositioning of the above two statements- apparently in reference to two separate thoughts, your mom and instructions for brussel sprouts. Only a poet's heart could catch the drift. The mind moves in mysterious and funny ways. :o) Ron
!!
well…
yes indeed, a well, that is what I have rising up in my chest, a well of laughter! Thanks so much for your poetic heart, I needed that!
